NEWS & INFORMATION

On March 1, 2010, the Parental Stress Center (PSC) was acquired by Family Resources, the largest private nonprofit agency in Western Pennsylvania focused on preventing child abuse. We are very excited about this change that will expand our capacity to engage the public in our efforts and extend our services to reach more families at risk.

All PSC programs, including Visitation Services, the Economic Empowerment Initiative, Family Unification Services, and the Youth Services Green Space Project will continue to operate with the same staffing and services as part of Family Resources. PSC will exist as a corporate entity but will no longer provide services. To learn more about Family Resources, please visit www.familyresourcesofpa.org.

We hope that you will continue to support child abuse prevention efforts by joining us for the 2nd Annual Pittsburgh Superhero Foundation 5K Run/Walk. This event is organized by a group of community volunteers and will be held on April 17, 2010 at North Park Lodge. PSC was the beneficiary of the first Superhero Run in 2009. This year proceeds will benefit Family Resources. For more details, visit www.thesuperherofoundation.org.

PSC would like to extend a final thanks to you for your support throughout the years. If you have any questions regarding the acquisition, please do not hesitate to contact Andi Fischhoff, Development Director, Family Resources, 412-363-1702 x1168, andif@familyresourcesofpa.org.
